Installing on Windows
Follow this guide to install OBS Plugin Installer on Windows 10 or 11. Download the recommended installer first, then use MSI only if your environment requires it.
Prerequisites
- OBS Studio 28+ installed (30+ recommended)
- Windows 10 and Windows 11
- 64-bit systems with Intel and AMD processors
- Active internet connection
Download options
Recommended for most users: .exe installer (NSIS). If your organization needs Windows Installer format, use the optional .msi package.

Download OBS Plugin Installer for Windows using the main button. Advanced package options are available below.

Step-by-step installation
Download the installer
Use the button above to download the recommended Windows .exe installer.
Run the executable
Open the downloaded installer and follow the setup wizard. We recommend the default install path.
Complete setup
Choose a user install (recommended) or system install if you manage a shared machine.
Launch and detect OBS
Open OBS Plugin Installer. It will scan for OBS Studio and prepare plugin directories automatically.
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen
If you see "Windows protected your PC", click More info and then Run anyway. This warning is common for new software releases.
Troubleshooting
Antivirus false positives
Some security tools may flag unknown installers. If needed, add an exception or temporarily disable real-time protection during install.
OBS path not found
If OBS Plugin Installer can’t detect OBS, ensure OBS is installed normally. For portable OBS installs, select the directory manually in settings.
